BRITISH SOAY SHEEP

GCR RBST registered British Soay Sheep are raised naturally and are grass fed only. We currently have a little over 20 registered Soay sheep, producing about 20-40 lambs a year. Colors range from dark solid, light solid, and light Mouflon.

This small, compact breed of hair sheep are hardy and easy to raise. Our two registered herd sires are both from triplet births giving us more multiple births.

Soay Rams Clark & Neil

Soay sheep are a rare breed of feral hair sheep which are endangered. We are working on saving this breed, including introducing this breed to many new breeders, hobby farms, and homesteaders.

Here at GCR we are working on DNA testing our registered herd of sheep and doing fiber testing. We are glad we have added this unique breed of sheep to our ranch.
